An Exclusive Business Engagement, hosted by Ambassador Nicholas McCaffrey, Australian Deputy High Commissioner to India

The Indo-Australian Chamber of Commerce organised an ‘Exclusive Business Engagement’, hosted by Ambassador Nicholas McCaffrey, Australian Deputy High Commissioner to India on Tuesday, 27 February, in New Delhi.

Ms. Petula Thomas, CEO, Indo-Australian Chamber of Commerce welcomed everyone and moderated the event.

Ambassador McCaffrey delivered the Opening remarks, highlighting the remarkable collaboration that exists between India and Australia across various areas of cooperation, including on the economic front. He also spoke about the strong relationship between our Prime Ministers, along with their shared vision. Ambassador McCaffrey appreciated the work that our CEO, Ms Thomas and the Chamber does to support Australia-India commercial engagements and businesses.

Ms. Jodi McKay, Director of the Australia-India CEO Forum, provided an update on the key initiatives of the Australia-India CEO Forum and their focus areas. She emphasized the importance of sustaining the progress made following the implementation of the Australia-India Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (ECTA).

Ajay Sethi, Managing Partner, ASA, Arjun Puri, CEO, Anko GCC, Neeraj Goyal, MD, Head of NAB, Vipulansh Sharma, Head- Advisory Market Entry & Growth -India, Maier+Vidorno, Catherine Gallagher, Senior T&I Commissioner, South Asia, Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) and Andrew Carter, T&I Commissioner, Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) shared their views on the ‘actions to take to enhance the bilateral commercial partnership, exploring new business opportunities and navigating challenges’ which was moderated by Ms. Thomas and included Q&A.

Ms. Thomas thanked the High Commissioner, Deputy High Commission and their team Mr. Tom Sandeford Tanya Jessica Gladston, Ms. Hannah Gardner Ms. Belinda Costin and Mr. Suraj Naik for all the support given as well as Annahita Baria and Abhishek Kumar Singh from the Chamber for their excellent work.
