The East India Chapter focuses on the eastern and North-eastern states of India. This includes West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Sikkim. The Chapter was launched by the Minister in Charge, Urban Development & Municipal Affairs Department, Transport and Housing Department, Government of West Bengal & Mayor of Kolkata in March 2022 at the Taj Bengal, Kolkata.

Mr. Sanjeev Nandwani
East India Chapter Chairperson and Vice President IACC
Sanjeev Nandwani is a former Civil Servant, and in a career spanning three decades as a member of the Indian Trade Service (1986 batch), he has worked inter alia, as Executive Director, CAPEXIL, Additional DGFT and Zonal Development Commissioner, SEZ’s for East and North-East India, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana under the Union Commerce Ministry.
He took an early separation from the Government in 2016 after thirty years of service, and thereafter had a stint of three years as President of a Steel and Mining Company based out of Mumbai and Odisha.
He then moved on to join Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC), under the Ministry of Textiles, as their Secretary General where he served till October, 2020
He was a ‘Chevening Gurukul Scholar’ at the London School of Economics and a ‘Mason Fellow’ at the Harvard Kennedy School where he did his Master’s in “Public Policy and Management”.
His strengths lie in people and process management and he also has a keen interest in teaching, as a regular visiting faculty at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, and occasionally at the Indian Institute of Management and IIT’s.
He is currently a ’Strategic Advisor’ to multiple businesses, and focuses primarily on International Trade, as an Advisor at East India Trade Advisors (EITA), a boutique Consulting firm (https://www.eita.co.in).
Mr. Kunal Vora

Mr Kunal Vora is the Founder Director of SHRM Biotechnologies Pvt Ltd and he is mainly
responsible for the Business Development of the company. His other responsibilities include
looking after the Finance, marketing of the company with theses he has the responsibilities in
fostering innovation, leadership, teamwork and work values within the organization. Prior to
this, he was associated with Multinational companies like Ernst & Young &
Ocwen Financial Solutions USA.
Mr Kunal is also involved in many social activities like “Anna Dan Initiative”, for which we
were awarded as “Covid Warriors” He was the director of the Interact Club in Kolkata. He
holds a Master degree in Business Management, Kolkata and has undertaken “The
Financial Times Course on Wealth Management”, New York.
He’s been recognized by one of the Youngest Education Entrepreneur in Biotech Industry,
recently have been recognized as 40 Under 40 Indian Educators by BW Business World along
side BJYUS, UACADEMY, Learning Lakes, LPU and others. Recently he’s also recognized &
interviewed by Industry Outlook Magazine as one of the Top 10 Leaders & Achievers from
Biotech Industry.
He’s also been awarded by the Governors of Odisha & Tripura in 2017 & also by the Union
Minister of Agriculture, Panchyat Raj in 2018. He’s also been interview by Business Line
Magazine – as Youngest Entrepreneur in Biotechnology Education Business, and even
interviewed by India Today, Education World, and other Online & offline Media bytes
. He also feathered a cap from ASSOCHAM – Skill India Award for leading the organization as
a promising skill development training institute. Mr Vora has recently been awarded as a BioEntrepreneur 2020 by Microbiology Society of India (MSI) and also an Entrant in Go Global
Awards, 2021
He was also a Panelist at the Sectoral Session of current Bengal Global Business Summit 2022
Mr. Vora is a qualified NIESBUD Trainer.
He’s been invited speaker and chairperson in many institutions like Entrepreneurship
Development Institute, NIT – Durgapur, SVIMS, Sister Nivedita University, Techno India,
Institute of Ceramic Technology, MAKAUT and many more. He was one of the Keynote
Speaker for the West Bengal Government – Dept. of Science & Technology & Biotechnology
“For Building Biotechnology Eco system in West Bengal”. And currently SHRM
Biotechnologies is been empowered to undergo a collaborative seminar with the West Bengal
DBT & DST.
He’s been nominated & incubated by West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation, to
undergo a Business Excellence Programme conducted by IBAC, FICCI and University of Texas
(USA). And he’s also been selected to undergo an empowered Inspiring Entrepreneurship
Programme by United Nations (UNCTAD).
He’s also included in the Board of studies committee of Amity University, Jharkhand for the
Dept. of Biotechnology and also in the BoS of Biotech Dept. for Jamshedpur Women’s College.
He’s also a strategic Business Partner of Stoodnt Incorporation, a USA based Ed-tech company
and also had served Directorship in a Recruitment and talent acquisition firm.
He is serving in the Chamber as a Committee Member for IACC- EIC – Indo Australia Chamber
of Commerce (Eastern India) , a Chamber which is initiated by the Hon’ble Prime Ministers both
the respective Countries. He’s heading the Vertical of Life Science, Biotechnology, Health Care
& Education.
