Business Roundtable with Northern Territory of Australia

In collaboration with the Northern Territory Government and the Australian Consulate-General in Mumbai, the Chamber hosted a Networking Lunch in honour of The Hon. Nicole Manison, MLA, Deputy Chief Minister of the Northern Territory of Australia and her team on 10 October, in Mumbai.

Welcome remarks were delivered by Mr. Abhishek Poddar, Chairperson of IACC’s Western India Chapter Chair and Country Head, Macquarie Group.

Opening remarks were delivered by Ms. Majell Hind, Head of Post, Australian Consulate-General Mumbai.

This was followed by a keynote address from The Hon. Nicole Manison MLA, Deputy Chief Minister of the Northern Territory of Australia. The Hon Chief minister stated that Northern Territory has Critical Minerals that are needed to advance new technologies and tackle the issues of climate change presenting substantial economic and strategic advantages & opportunities. The territory is already a global leader in production of manganese and possesses Australia’s only lithium mine. There was an open invitation for Indian Companies to invest in the critical mineral sector and explore the territory further.

The session ended with audience Q&A followed by networking over lunch.
