REFUND POLICY

Effective Date: [ 07-09-2023 ]

We (“IACC”) collect the following Fee from you, towards our services :

Admission Fee means the one-time fee collected towards your membership application when you join us as a member.

Membership Fee means the fee collected towards your membership with us for a given period.

Registration Fee means the fee collected towards your participation in any specific events organised by us.

Note : We may also collect such other fee, as may be necessitated.

Eligibility for Refunds:

1.1. Full Refunds: Payment of the membership fee and admission fee is not refundable unless we have not accepted your application. In the event of rejection of your application the membership fee if remitted by you will be refunded. However admission fee is retained by us. In the event of any registration fee taken by us and the event for which payment has been paid stands cancelled, any amounts received will be refunded.

1.2. No Refund: No refund of any Fee shall be made by us, if you cease to be a member. The following are the instances, wherein we may cease your membership:

A member’s membership or fellow’s membership will cease:

  • on the date that the CEO or such other person as may be authorized by the Board receives written notice of resignation from that member or fellow;

  • in the case of a natural person, upon that member or fellow dying;

  • upon that member or fellow no longer satisfying the criteria for its respective class of membership (unless transferred to another classes of membership/ by the representative council);

  • upon that member or fellow becoming bankrupt or insolvent or making an arrangement or composition with creditors of the person’s joint or separate estate generally;

  • if that member or fellow fails to pay a Membership Fee within one (1) month after it falls due;

  • if the member or fellow is expelled from the company pursuant to any disciplinary action;

  • if, being a corporate member:

    • that member is dissolved or otherwise ceases to exist

    • that member has:

      • a receiver

      • a receiver and manager

      • a liquidator

      • an administrator

      • an administrator of a deed of company arrangement

      • a trustee of other person administering a compromise or arrangement between the member and someone else; appointed to it

  • If the company in general meeting resolves by Special Resolution to terminate the membership of a member or a fellow whose conduct or circumstances in the opinion of the company renders it undesirable that that member or a fellow continue to be a member or a fellow of the company. The process is being set out in our Articles of Association (AOA) and to get a copy of the AOA, please write to our Membership, Finance and Administrative Officer at membership-officer@indoaustchamber.com.

Refund Procedure :

2.1. To request a refund or for any grievances, please contact our Membership, Finance and Administrative Officer at membership-officer@indoaustchamber.com. Provide your full name, membership/application ID, and a brief explanation of the reason for the refund request.

2.2. After processing your request, if your refund request is found eligible, we will process the refund within 21 working days. The refund amount will be credited back to the bank account provided by you in this regard.

Exceptions :

3.1. Our Refund Policy does not affect your statutory rights under applicable laws.

3.2. IACC assumes no responsibility and shall incur no liability if it is unable to effect any payment made towards any of the said Fee owing to any one or more of the following circumstances:

  • technical error occurring with your bank or the payment gateway during the transaction.

  • Circumstances beyond the control of IACC (including, but not limited to, fire, flood, natural disasters, bank strikes, power failure, systems failure like computer or telephone lines breakdown due to an unforeseeable cause or interference from an outside force).

  • In case the payment is not effected for any reason, you will be intimated about the failed payment by an e-mail.

Changes to the Refund Policy :

4.1. We reserve the right to modify or update this Refund Policy at any time. The most current version of the Policy will be posted on our website, and the effective date will indicate the latest revision.

Dispute Resolution :

5.1. All disputes arising out of this Refund Policy shall be settled as per the terms of the Terms & Conditions provided in our Website.
